First Experience at a Maid Café: A Guide for Foreign Visitors
During my recent tour, the staff at a café called out, “Please come and visit us!” So, I decided to take the participants along to experience a maid café for the first time.
Maid cafés are a unique aspect of Japanese culture, and each shop has its own theme and setting. As first-time visitors, everyone was excited and a bit nervous about what to expect. Upon entering the café, we were greeted with smiles from the adorable maids, and the service and food were so unique that it felt like we had stepped into another world.
To be honest, the prices are a bit high for a Japanese person like me, but the participants seemed to thoroughly enjoy the distinctive experience. They especially appreciated chatting with the maids and taking photos.
My guiding philosophy is “having fun comes first.” I strive to be flexible and provide an enjoyable experience, even if it means going off the planned itinerary. I look forward to continuing to share the joy of Japanese culture and helping create wonderful memories for everyone.
